What did make me start with this website?

I have been always a very busy person due to my job. After the global issue of the Corona Virus, I was one of the millions of people that have to go on lockdown. Having too much free time and seeing all the people used to work for me just staying bored at home, I decided to start a YouTube Channel to keep them engaged. And this brought me to the direction of creating one more way to spread the knowledge I got through the years. It is a new experience for me and feeling so excited to be able to share all these recipes and techniques for everyone who has this common thing about the kitchen: Passion.

My life has been so connected to kitchen environment since I was a child as my mum used to be a cook before she got married and went to housewife. I can still remember, being a child, the beautiful aromas coming from the kitchen when I wake up in my bedroom at mum´s. Many times trying to help her or maybe just putting my hands in the not finished dishes. You know how kids are…. I started to work at a very young age of 18 while I was studying for English teacher degree in the University. I went from bartender and waiter to picking up slowly as a kitchen porter and then commis chef in the same restaurant.

What are you going to find in this website? Nothing really difficult. This website has got the target to reach every basic cooking skills. All the food shown will be based on the traditional homemade food of where I am from: Cádiz. Cádiz is a beautiful and very old city in the South of Andalusia, Spain. Very well known for the tapas style dishes, I want to bring an extra mile of knowledge on this and share with all of you the real food the housewives use to make at home before the takeaway, chains and nouvelle cuisine restaurants took over part of the market in this magnificent place. We will also travel into different countries to see what´s cooking also there, but again, respecting what is the idea of homemade real food.
